About Me

    I have been practicing massage since 2007, after graduating from The Massage Therapy Program at Lake Land College. Beginning my career in Effingham, IL, I found a niche performing deep tissue and trigger point therapy on clients who suffered acute and chronic pain. I have always had a passion for bodywork and helping others. Growing up in central Illinois, I would give massages to my family and friends, feeling rewarded through their relief. I sought a career where I could work with people daily while following this passion.

    In my practice, I love to work with clients with persistent pain from daily life. I love being able to help my clients address the root cause of their pain by freeing soft tissue restrictions and improving natural range of motion. I am trained in a number of techniques including therapeutic massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, prenatal and Swedish/wellness massage. My style of massage could be considered slower than the "typical" massage, I do this by applying slow, sustained pressure gradually working up to the threshold of what you can tolerate. I do practice "faster" cross-friction methods over facial reconstrictions-especially the stubborn ones.
